On February 1, 2012, the Government of Ontario announced that the transformation of Ontario Place into an innovative provincial landmark. While plans are developed, Ontario Place remains partially open by offering outdoor exhibition and festival space in the parking lots and sections of the East and West Islands. From cultural and culinary festivals, charity and corporate events, to film productions—spaces available are ideal for most imaginable experiences.
