Thanks for helping us celebrate our 40th Anniversary!
We’ve just finished an extraordinary 40th Anniversary season, and I wanted to say THANK YOU! Thank you to all our guests who came to see the many improvements here and thank you to the almost 700 Ontario Place staff who worked so hard to make this season one of the most successful in the park’s history.
Here are some of the highlights of our 2011 season:
 We celebrated our 40th Anniversary season with an increase in attendance of over 70% compared to last year. We welcomed over 40,000 guests on Canada Day alone! |
 We opened several new rides and attractions including Lakeside Beach with a refreshing lounge pool and a curving esplanade overlooking Lake Ontario. |
 We introduced state-of-the-art IMAX® 3D to Cinesphere, making it the biggest and best 3D experience in Canada. |
 We featured over 2,000 live performances throughout the summer including Pipeworks, a popular acrobatics and trampoline show. |
 We had three shows every day of Extreme Wake Series, featuring daredevil wake boarders; and Earth Rangers, which celebrates some of the planet’s most amazing animals. |
 We created Echo Beach, Toronto’s first fully-licensed outdoor beachfront concert venue that was dubbed “The hottest concert venue in the city” by Toronto Life magazine. |
Next year will be even bigger and better! We will be opening Topsy Turvy, an award-winning dual waterslide in our Soak City waterpark. There will be even more free events and entertainment, and great things to come, so 2012 promises to be even more exciting than 2011!
